Welcome!

Welcome to Kindergarten!  I am so excited to be a part of your child's education!
My name is Lauren Dozier, and this is my third year to have a classroom of my own. I graduated from Sam Houston State University with a bachelor of arts in elementary education and am certified to teach pre-k to 6th grade. I myself am a Tomball Cougar and am very proud of that.  I graduated from Tomball High School in 2010.  I love this district and this community.  I have taught at Willow Creek Elementary and Tomball Intermediate School.  I am excited to see what this year beholds!

Many Blessings!
Mrs. Dozier

Boo Bash- Saturday, October 21st from 5-9 pm at WCES!

Some things coming home for the weekend!

#1:  A leaf note:  If you and your child will collect some leaves over the weekend, and place them in a baggie that would be wonderful. We will be studying and talking about how they look, measure them, sort them, and use them in our writing.

#2 ABC Parade is taking place on October 27th, and it is going to be a super fun day!

I am sending a note that has your child’s favorite letter that they have picked.  You can dress them up in anything that starts with the letter.  I wrote it in pencil, in case your child wants to change their letter after talking about how they dress up.  It can be a simple, or over the top costume!

They will get to show off their costume to the whole school.

I will be dressing up as Minnie Mouse and will have a D on my shirt that stands for Dozier and Disney (our Kindergarten theme this year.) Please do not dress them up in anything “scary.”

Please let me know if you have questions,

Thanks,

Mrs. Dozier

Parent Conferences

Don't forget to return your parent conference forms!

Also, practice rhyming at home:

You can do this anywhere!  A good time would be to find rhyming words in stories.

Here are a few rhyming games:
