My name is Jessica Hulett. I graduated from Missouri State University and then I moved to Texas about 20 years ago. I have a daughter that is a Sophomore, and another that is a Senior at Tomball Memorial.

I taught Kindergarten in Spring ISD before being a stay at home mom for 8
years. This is my 11th year at Willow Creek as a Kindergarten teacher.

I have been married to my wonderful husband Nin for 21 years.
I also have a Basset Hound named Lucy.
We are going to do so many fun things in school this
year! I look forward to having you in my classroom.

*Attendance is a very important part of your child's education. Please make sure that they are at school every day by no later than 8:40. I can not teach them all they need to know if they are not here.

This week

Dear Parents,

 The money for the Spring pictures is due March 2nd. If you do not want the pictures, please send them back with a note stating you do not want to purchase.  We will be having our chili snack on Friday, if you were asked to donate an item for this please send it in. On Friday it is also Go Texan Day and Heart Health day for the district. The students may wear red and or Texas attire. Please also remember they will need to have tennis shoes for PE if they wear cowboy boots to school.

Run Wild At The Creek

Make sure that you dress your child in their class t-shirt and tennis shoes tomorrow. We will be doing our run outside during specials time: 12:40-1:40. Water will be provided. If you haven't donated yet and would like to, please send your packet tomorrow with your child. You can also donate online.

Please make sure that your child is reading their home reader and bringing it back within 3-4 days. If they do not bring it back, they can not get a new reader. We are trying very hard to be ready for First Grade and this is the best way to prepare for next year.

Please Read!!!

We are sending home a red paper in the binders today that is a permission slip for watching the Polar Express this Friday. If you do not return it tomorrow or Friday, your child will not be allowed to watch the movie. They will be sent to a classroom for regular instruction instead. Please make sure you return it. 
Also, I need some Christmas stickers that we can make cards and paper Christmas trees with. Donations by Friday would be much appreciated.

November news

Don't forget class t-shirt money is due this Friday November 7th.
We wear these for Field Trips, Field Day and on Fridays as a spirit shirt. 
The disguise a turkey homework project is due on the 12th. This is important because we will be using the turkeys for an in class writing assignment.
The school wide toy drive is Nov 16-20th.
The 19th is picture re-takes and the 20th is our Kindergarten Feast.
I will be sending notes home tomorrow about what food items I will need.
Please let me know if you can not bring the food or paper goods items that I have assigned to you.

October news

Thank you so much for taking the time out of your busy schedules to come and conference with me about your child. I really appreciate your time. If you did not get to sign up to carve pumpkins on Thursday October 29th at 1:50 and you would like to, please let me know. I am sending class t-shirt order forms out this week. They are due with exact cash only on 11/6. Don't forget next week is Red Ribbon Week. The schedule came out in Wed folders of what to wear. Have a great week!!

October updates

Reminder- If you did not see the note that came home in Wed. folders, October 14th is bring your teddy bear to school day. The students can bring a bear as long as it is small enough to fit in their backpack.
Conferences are this Friday October 16th. We will release students at 12:50, and lunch is at 10:00 that day.
Please be on time, they are short 15 minute conferences and I have them  back to back all afternoon and evening that day. If for some reason you are not able to attend, please let me know as soon as possible.

We are off to a great start. I would like to invite you to come to our Open House next week to hear more information about our classroom and the curriculum. It is on Sept. 9th from 6-7:30. There will also be a PTO meeting in the cafeteria at 5:30.
I will also be happy to answer any questions you might have.
Don't forget to check your child's binder tomorrow for important school info.
If you have not sent in headphones, please do so by Friday of this week.
Also, if you have not cut out the letters in your child's name for our Chicka Chicka Boom Boom book project,that needs to be turned in no later than Thursday morning.
