I joined Tomball ISD 18 years ago with a total of 28 years in education. I am a life-long learner who continues to explore student’s success and student leadership. I have enjoyed my role at teacher and administrator and look forward to serving Willow Creek Elementary.
I grew up in Portales, New Mexico and graduated from Eastern New Mexico University and continued my education at the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas.
Mrs. Fontenot serves as the counselor of Willow Creek Elementary School. Mrs. Fontenot attended The University of Texas at Austin where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Learning and Development. In 2008, she earned her Master of Science degree in Counseling from the University of Houston at Clear Lake. This is Mrs. Fontenot’s sixth year as the counselor at Willow Creek Elementary School. Previously, she worked as a school counselor at Laura Ingalls Wilder Elementary in Alvin ISD. Prior to school counseling, she taught 4th grade Language Arts and Social Studies for three years, 7th and 8th grade Mathematics for three years, and high school Geometry for one year. Mrs. Fontenot had the pleasure to teach subjects across all grade levels, and now she is able to work alongside leaders of the classrooms helping create a fun, safe environment for learning. She absolutely loves working with kids as they make her laugh and learn each day.
