Wednesday, 5/30 and Thursday, 5/31

Dear Parents,
  • Please send your child with an empty backpack tomorrow - we will send home the rest of their books and supplies!  Also, please have your child wear their class shirts tomorrow!
  • Before our class party (Wednesday at 2:45), we will take the whole grade level outside for yearbook signing. If your child does not have a yearbook, they can bring stapled paper or their class shirt to sign with your permission. Also, please send a Sharpie to school for the t-shirt signing. Mrs. Herriman's class shirt is pink, so a black Sharpie will work. Mrs. Carnifax's class has a purple shirt, so a silver or lighter colored Sharpie will work best.
  • Please DO NOT send backpacks to school on Thursday. Students will be dismissed at 12:50 with their final report card.

  • Parents, please check for any classroom library books that are at home and send them with your child tomorrow. We look forward to seeing you at the End of the Year Party from 2:45-3:30.

Thanks,

Mrs. Carnifax and Mrs. Herriman

Field Day

Dear Parents,

Friday is Field Day from 1:00 to 3:30. Please have your child wear their class shirts. We are having lunch from 11:45 to 12:15 in the cafeteria. Some of the activities involve water, so please send a towel with your child. We don't have a lot of time at the end of the day, so only send a change of clothes if you feel it is absolutely necessary for your child to change into dry clothes.

R & R After STAAR

Dear Parents,

On Thursday, we are having an R & R After STAAR celebration. Students may wear pajamas and bring a pillow and blanket. They can also bring any games, but no electronics.

Thank you for your help and support,

Mrs. Carnifax and Mrs. Herriman

LIBRARY BOOKS DUE ON WEDNESDAY, 5/16/18

Parents,

Don't forget that all library books are due on Wednesday, 5/16/18!

STAAR Testing on Monday and Tuesday.

Monday: Math STAAR Test

Tuesday: Reading STAAR Test

The school is providing 2 snacks and a water bottle each day, so please do not send a snack or water bottle on Monday or Tuesday. You may want to send a jacket or sweater with your child in case they get cold. They tend to turn the air conditioning down lower on testing days. Parents are not allowed to eat lunch in the cafeteria on either Monday or Tuesday.

Your kids have worked very hard! Thank you so much for your help and support!

Field Trip on Monday, April 16, 2018

Dear Parents,

Our field trip is this coming Monday (4/16/18). Please have  your child wear their class shirt and bring a bagged lunch. The play we are watching begins at 11:00 and will end around noon. Our plan is to leave the lunches here at school, but have a picnic lunch outside when we return. Students will also be going to specials at the end of the day. Because we are eating a little later than normal, we are asking that students bring a snack to eat on the bus on the way to the play. They may also bring a towel to sit on for our picnic if they’d like. Students needing to purchase a lunch will have to do so in the morning before our trip. If you have any questions please let us know!
