I am a 2001 graduate of Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. I am a native West Texan and have enjoyed my 14 years in the Houston area. This is my 14th year teaching and my 12th year of teaching Kindergarten at Willow Creek. I have 3 children: Michael and his wife Erin, AnnaMariya and her husband Joshua, and Jonah. I have two beautiful grand-daughters, Abriella Grace and Lynnen Jude. Jonah is a eighth grader at Willow Wood Junior High. He plays the violin in orchestra and is in his first year of LOTC. I have a great and supportive family!
My own children are not the only family I have. I respect and care for my
students just like my own family. I love teaching Kindergarten because it is
full of new experiences for my students, parents, as well as for myself. I
love to sing and dance with my students. This is where they begin to acquire the desire to be lifelong learners and great readers and writers!
We make everyday a great day to be in Kindergarten!
My discipline is fair and consistent. I make my expectations very clear and
allow my students the opportunity to make the right choices and learn from
wrong choices. We have begun to put in place Great Expectations
I feel that families and teachers are partners in the education of children and I want families to feel comfortable with me. Communication is extremely important. After all, I have one of the most important person in a parent's
life for eight hours a day.
